After Wayne Rooney takes over as Birmingham City manager, football fans are gearing up for 'Wagatha Christie part two' ahead of their meeting with Jamie Vardy's Leicester City in December

Football fans are gearing up for Wagatha Christie part two as Birmingham City are set to meet the Foxes at their home ground in December.

Wayne Rooney, who was unveiled as Birmingham’s new manager on Thursday, will go head to head with the team Jamie Vardy captains, Leicester City.

After the managerial announcement, fans have gone wild for the fixture on X, formerly known as Twitter, branding it the next instalment of Wagatha Christie, as Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy's husbands will go head-to-head.

Some have labelled the fixture 'the Rebekah Vardy Derby' as two sides of the notorious WAG falling-out will meet up once again - and although it's not confirmed if Coleen and Rebekah will be in attendance, fans remain hopeful they'll meet again.
